There is not only bright chrome! There is not only bright chrome! Bertola Group is able to create objects with various aesthetic finishes, such as satin chrome, matte chrome and black chrome. Traditional chromium often takes on a particular value for “vintage” objects, and is used to provide added value on many items, especially on cars and motorcycles, guaranteeing a consolidated color and behaviour.

However, it is possible to obtain the same brilliance and the same resistances with different chromatic effects. Bertola1946 therefore wants to present itself at the forefront with a trivalent dark chrome plating process. The coloring of hexavalent black chrome plating or piano black painting (treatments in any case carried out by the Bertola Group) is currently impossible to achieve with galvanic chrome plating, but the anthracite color characteristics lead to an interesting aesthetic and stylish result, currently required by various companies including the trendsetter Mont Blanc.

Dark chrome plating can be combined with satin finishing processes to make it more opaque according to customer requests, and can obtain the same resistance as traditional chrome plating through the multilayer cycle; it can be made on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, iron but not on plastic. Don’t worry, because with High Technology Italia PVD it is possible to combine colors even on plastic materials.
